Good Putting Saves Strokes
by Robin All

A few simple fundamentals might be timely to review for better putting!

1. Ball positioned opposite front foot.

2. Weight positioned over front foot.

3. Eyes over line and ball.

4. Lower body kept still during stroke.

5. Wrists stay quiet! No hand action.

6. Accelerating strokes — shorter back and longer through.

7. Shoulders control motion of stroke.

Practice drills to improve distance control by placing balls back from the hole one foot apart. Start from the shortest and work your way back from the hole, sinking each putt or putting one to two feet past the hole. Be aggressive! A putt left short has never gone in!
